Probably the largest full service wildlife photography supplier in the UK, WPE was born from a strategic partnership whereby the Scottish Photography Hides and Wild Exposures merged to become available via one simple brand.
Scottish Photography Hides, run by Alan McFadyen, was the UK’s leading wildlife photography hide provider. Used by professionals and hobbyists alike, The hides have been featured on BBC, ITV, national papers provided many award winning images and the face of Canon’s 1DX mkii campaign.
Wild Exposures provided workshops and holidays for over 5 years. Founder Scott Latham’s work is featured in national press, TV and has been awarded many times including the winner of The British Photography Awards 2019.
Together we have developed an amazing team of award-winning photographers and wildlife experts with many years of ground knowledge and photography expertise. Awards Such as GDT Photographer of the year, BWPA and The British Photography Awards, feature within our trusted guides.
Our services have been featured by hundreds of media outlets including; BBC’s Autumnwatch, with Chris Packham describing ‘MAX’ the male visitor to our sparrowhawk hide as “the greatest individual bird on planet earth”.

Seen in the media or on TV more hours than he sleeps, Alan ran the successful Scottish Photography Hides for years before co-founding WPE with Scott. His dedication, knowledge and unrivalled field craft skills are all brought to the fold and delivered to our clients at our Kirkcudbright in Scotland locations.
Winner of the 2019 British Photography Awards, Scott is a conservation photographer, field ecologist and film-maker. He ran the successful Wild Exposures for 5 years before joining the Wildlife Photography Experiences. Much of his time is now spent running the not-for-profit conservation organisation Explore Nature CIC and Get xPosr. Scott leads the majority of our conservation photography holidays, helping to document the work on endangered species.
Winner of the Mammal Photographer of the year & ZSL Photo Awards, Alastair is featured across a range of publications, including Africa Geographic, the American Cetacean Society, and the Wildlife Trusts. His passion for nature stretches across the globe and spent time in South Arica volunteering with White Shark Conservation Projects. You’ll find Alastair leading both workshops and tours across a range of subjects.
A FSINWP & ARPS, Andy is an internationally published and award winning photographer. He joins the team with a wealth of knowledge and experience where his passion lies in Africa. So much so that even the locals use Andy’s knowledge of the big game on offer in the reserves. As well as leading UK workshops, you’ll find Andy covering our trips in Kenya, Tanzania & Rwanda.
After retiring from 17 years of professional basketball, Bogdan followed his passion for nature and photography into becoming one of Eastern Europes leading pros. He now share’s his time between the UK and his home town of Dimitrovgrad, where his amazing guiding skills and photo shelters offer some of the most amazing wildlife experiences available. You can find Bogdan leading many of our holidays throughout Europe.

Growing up in Yorkshire, Chris has always been interested in wildlife from a very early age. A military career, gave him the pleasure of been able to travel the world, experiencing nature in many countries and continents, including the Falklands. Chris worked during down time on supporting communities to understand the benefits of the natural world. His favourite saying ‘ The wildlife of today is not ours we have it in trust for the next generation’. You’ll find Chris leading varied of our workshops and tours as well as managing our Dorset hides.

He brings with him a wealth of award-winning photography knowledge and ground insight to some of the far reaching corners of our planet. You will find David leading some of our unique and special tours. In particular he’ll be around the Arctic Circle and beyond.

After a career as a Royal Marine, Sean moved to the diverse habitats of Singapore where long tailed macaques, snakes, lizards and tropical birds were just a stones throw away from home. You’ll find Sean leading both workshops and tours across a range of subjects.
